Papilloma In Dogs Contagious To Humans How Long Is My Dog Contagious When He Has Papilloma Virus?

How long is my dog contagious when he has papilloma virus? - papilloma in dogs contagious to humans

My dog (beagle 2 years) had HPV for over a month and the 3 warts in the mouth is no longer for a week. How long do I need to think about other dogs? It's crazy.

  1. The incubation period is 1 to 2 months. This virus can be transmitted by dogs. It is not contagious to other animals or humans. To become infected, the dog generally immature immune system, so that it is primarily an infection of young dogs and puppies. Furthermore, the data are inaccurate. It is not known whether the infected dog must actually show visible lesions to be contagious, nor how long after the injury, the infection has been decreasing concern.
